Amanda's cowries

Amanda, one of my friends in Falmouth loves cowries. She puts only the perfect ones collected over many years in this large bowl. She says you don't find cowries they find you. You only see one when you are thinking about something else entirely So far no cowrie has found me this trip. We were wondering why people are so keen on them all around the world and Amanda thinks that people are naturally attracted to their overall egg like shape.
