Best Laid Plans, etc

Had planned to visit my folks in Fife today, but only got as far as the Stracathro services on the A90 near Brechin.

The rain was battering down, there was a lot of surface water, and the puddles near the side roads where the water had run off were horrible. As the weather forecast was for it only to get worserer, I had a cup of tea then headed back to Aberdeen. The picture is of the rain battering down on the road between the services and tbe hospital, through the car windscreen.

Annoyingly, the sun has been splitting the skies all evening...
