crossing the street
Being off from work today was such a wonderful feeling. I got to wake up a bit later, I stayed at my fiancé's apartment, and I didn't have to rush to go anywhere! We went to the wedding venue and were able to catch a glimpse of what next year would be like. After we gave the coordinator a payment, we took a walk around the place and the tent and the beautiful outside and it rekindled our love for our venue! We have a better idea and a more optimistic perspective of what we want our day to look like (something like a cafe with Christmas lights and candles all over the place). One thing that was not on our side was the weather which was a downer today as it was overcast and then rained heavily--the opposite of we want next year to look like. What are the chances it'll rain next year on this day? Still though, it is exactly what we want it to be, rain or shine! I can't wait for that day to arrive!
When we drove back up from the place, after accepting the fact we weren't going to go Point Pleasant beach anymore as we had planned, we stopped at a diner and got some very excellent lunch. All of the miles we had driven, about two hours worth, were without the grand accompaniment of our music! We love singing while traveling no matter how far away we go. It makes the trip so enjoyable and so thrilling. But, unfortunately, the tape player has officially crapped out on us! Whenever I put the tape (that attaches to my iPhone) in, the player spits it right back out. My theory is that the tape player needs a cleaner, but they are nowhere to be bought nowadays! The demand has probably decreases significantly since the cassette tape has become extinct! We looked everywhere for one too except online! I'll have to just suck it up, accept it, and buy a new sound system for the car or something!
So today was a very adventurous day even when geese were blocking the roads to get home causing all sorts of traffic! And now I rest watching the History Channel show on Rome. Sick.
We've officially crossed the road to our one-year-to-get-married day! It's less than twelve months away!
