Groan!

I'm turning into a grumpy old man. I live in a town which has great heritage architecture. That's until I wander into the what is called the East End. It's a dump, an architectural nightmare. and to make matters worse the council have no control over the exterior of shops and their choice of decoration. In this case the window of a chemist shop (they should be called pharmacies anyway, they're not chemists) is simply blocked out with their own ads from the newspaper. I didn't have a headache before I saw this but I did afterwards.
