Lamlash Bay with Tall Ships
Here is another Arran 'tourist shot', with a couple of vital differences. Drivers often dice with dents to pull in at the side of the winding road down from The Heights in order to let their passengers leap out and take this 'snap'. It drives us crackers ... so ironic that I was doing the snapping on this occasion! Two differences: I have deliberately nudged Goat Fell out of the picture for once and the Bay is graced again today with Tall Ships visiting on their way to Greenock. Nephew 2, who is in residence, has declared this unedited shot to be today's blip.
It was a very busy day in Lamlash. There is a Maritime Festival running 6th to 10th and there were ribs racing about in and out of the beautiful craft and more run of the mill yachts moored in the Bay; on land, marquees, music, beefburgers -- as y'do -- with the promise of RNLI demos, kayaks and lasers to come. Also a display stand for the Arran Coastal Trust and info about Scotland's first no-take zone at the north end of the Bay. Plentyy of potential for further blips!
And from 10 a.m. our weather was glorious! Hoping the same can be said for Balado! No doubt there will be blips.
