They are friends whilst in velvet

There was a large group of stags under an old oak tree in Ashton Court today - their new antlers are heavy with velvet and they were being very careful with them - and being friendly with one another. Sparring times will come in the autumn when the velvet has gone and the antlers are hard. A group pic here
