An ordinary life....

Pimp my Crepe!

D & K were off early this morning to a golf course they had found near Bordeaux. The rest of us girlies and A had a very lazy morning and weren't actually up, showered and dressed till late morning. Fab!

Another leisurely lunch by the pool although it was much cooler today so light cardis were on. D & K arrived back from the golf a little disgruntled because the course wasn't particularly well cared for. The greens were fine but the fairways were like playing on concrete apparently. I refrained from suggesting that perhaps the French had better use for their water in the recent drought than keeping the fairways of golf courses lush! D won the round however, so he wasn't too grumpy.

Us girls headed off after lunch back to Auberre-sur-Dronne, where D, A and I were yesterday and had a lovely time exploring all the little shops. I bought a bracelet, necklace and a picture holder made from beach stones and drift wood. All cheap and cheerful but nice reminders of my day.

Stopped for a crepe at the little creperie just at the left hand side of this photo. Took us ages to decide what fillings / toppings we wanted on our crepes. In the end I had caramel with the others having strawberry jam, chocolate sauce and nutella respectively.

Back at the holiday house now after driving through a terrific rain storm. Sun is out again and the whole place smells fresh and floral.

Homemade chicken curry for tea tonight. Not very French but a fav....and the beer is chilling too. :)))

The colours in todays blip were glorious but the place has such an olde worlde feel I couldn't resist turning the image to sepia.
