What a day

Not too much time for photos today, despite the very photogenic, snowy conditions.

This photograph was taken as I waited at the bottom of our road to direct an ambulance to the farm: my elder brother has been ill on and off ever since Christmas with a chest infection, but took a turn for the worst today and had to be rushed to hospital, where he was diagnosed with double pneumonia. It came as quite a shock to all of us. I spent much of the afternoon at the hospital with mam. Thankfully, my brother had perked up a bit by this evening, though he is still in critical care and will probably be in hopital for a while yet.

Beautiful sunset here tonight. I hope it is a positive sign of things to come.
