Disharmony

Well well, what's this? A write up?
"Yup, for a change".

Uhmm. Why?
"Well... I'm not sure about this one. Sort of an experiment, actually. Got myself a new iPhone app that enables layering, transparancies and blending. So, I shot these two pictures. Building, sky. I layered them, enhanced them and blend them into one. On iPhone. Tadaaaa!"

So what's the fuzz?
"I'm feeling an argument here, hesitation. Whether the result, the outcome of this 'blend' makes a better picture. Not sure... It's not about THE enhancing, I always enhance my photos. (I simply have to 'afterburn' my shots because of the lousy camera they put in this first generation iPhones ;-). But in general my biggest challenge and first objective is shooting an aesthetic, interesting picture by means of a balanced and/or alienated composition. Observe, behold, compose... click! And then again, but now from a different angle/point of view. Followed by the selection process; is this worthwhile, can I frame it? Can I 'expose' it? Does it meet my expectations?"

Well thats a good thing, I guess.
"Yeah, but somehow I don't feel the satisfaction I usually tend to. Too much trickery done to call this a pure 'reflection of reality', know what I mean? I don't judge this working method, don't get me wrong. I know others who do this and manage to create an extraordinairy image. This, or this for example, makes sense, has added value. But unfortunately can never be accomplished on an iPhone. Definitely need a computer and Photoshop to do that sort of imaging. Ah well."

So. Conclusion?
"Fun app. But I'm not going this way on Blip, I better stick to what I'm doing! Kiss."

Kiss?
"Yeah. Keep It Simple, Stupid!

:-)

@Frontier: hope your computer is back in business soon. I miss the inspiration ;-)
