Friday Challenge - Room 101

In the Friday Challenge of Room 101, I decided that I would like to put WEEDS into Room 101 - surely nobody could argue with that?! If I could stop weeds I could spend more time doing 'proper' gardening and, you never know, might actually get to just sit in the garden and enjoy it occasionally!

Anyway....

Sorry all, but I'm now going to offload to you about my day. Feel free to walk on by if you don't want to hear it, no offence will be taken.

I actually got to take Becky to school this morning. As a working mum I usually drop B at Breakfast Club at 8am, Alex at the Childminder's at 8.15 and I get to work at about 8.25. But today was 'Shuffle Up Day' where all the children get a taster day in the class they will be in from September. This meant that A, who starts school in Reception class in Sept, got to spend a morning in his new class too, something that I couldn't miss taking him to. So, at 8.20 B, A & I walked to school to drop B off for the start of her day. A & I walked home. At 9.15 A & I got in the car so I could take him to the start of shuffle up day for him. When he and I arrived at the classroom door he barely gave be a backwards look and I got a quick 'Bye mummy'. I had to call him back for a kiss and cuddle!

So, off I whizzed off to my school, arriving about 9.50, only to leave again at 11.15 to dash back to pick A up. He'd had a great time and would happily have stayed all day. We whizzed again to droip him with my mum, who's looking after him while the childminder is on holiday, but she wasn't at home. Aarrggghhh! I realised where she would be and dashed there to deliver my lovely 4-year-old and his car seat. Back I whizz to work, arriving about 11.55.

Just after the lunch bell went at 12.40, Hubby phoned to say that he had had a phone call from his dad to say that his mum had died shortly before. So, the rest of today has been trying to work out what's happening when and how to make pieces of jigsaw fit together. It'll work out.

I left school early to make sure I was home when Hubby arrive back. We then had to pick the kids up, bring them home and break the news that their Gran had died. So sad to see the effect on them.

Then I saw Becky's school report - completely brilliant! Across the board 'E' for Excellent for Effort and A* (Well above average) for achievement.

So, a mixed day really. So, please will you let weeds go into room 101?
