IN THE IJSSELMEER
a pier with cormorants and a gull.
Early morning swim in the sea, then I went to Amsterdam Noord, to help out our dear friend Cor with choosing slabs for his terrace, and then a walk in the Diemer Forest, what not at all is a forest, but a former chemical pollution site, which was covered sufficiently to make a nature reservate of it.
From there to the IJsselmeer which gave us a splendid view over the water.
On our way back we came upon a field full of rabbits, sitting or sleeping and not moving at all. They probably are ill.
We met Piet Hein, who had attended to-day a cremation of a friend, in the centre and had indian food to eat. Back with train and bus, and looking at my photos.
My haiku I made in the bus in the morning:
The little girl in the bus comments on every thing
she notices around her in her bright voice like a little bird
A new morning full of hope
The proverb is about illness, no country mentioned. (The book gives no explanation at all for any proverb)
Better wear out shoes than sheets.
