Luckily they were still on the back of the highway maintenance vehicle and not closing lanes so the journey to work takes even longer.

Horrible morning, got soaked locking the front door before I got to my car. That always means the commute is a bit worse than usual. But I got there in the end, and one of my colleagues had bought me a Costa coffee which was waiting on my desk when I got in, so things looked up a bit.

I'd had enough of the week by the afternoon, so gave myself permission to slope off at 4.30 to miss some of the traffic. Very glad to see the back of this week!
