Living in London

I read in our local paper that some bloke down the pub had an idea. He thought that maybe the size of our little rural town is similar in size to central London. He over-layed the two maps, and lo and behold, they are very similar in size and shape. So, he decided to put signposts up around the village in relation to London landmarks, as close as possible to how they are mapped out in the Big Smoke itself. I now live not 100 yards from Bond Street Station, while my parents look out on to a beautiful scene of grazing cows, a few miles of fields, the M6 and St James's Palace. If only they acted as little portals to their namesakes - I'd like to be able to drop in on my little brother as if he were just 'round the corner. I'll be trotting along to Selfridges tomorrow to feed the ducks and gaze at some ponies.
