Long Tom

I've been out and about at work these last few days, back on the site near Stranraer. We had noticed a dot on the map saying 'Long Tom Standing Stone', ever the archaeology geek, I had to check it out. And here it is, 'Long Tom'. Not really much to look at. However, the most impressive thing about standing stones (or megaliths, or monoliths, or menhirs) is how long the have been standing. Erected by Neolithic people, Long Tom could potentially have been stood here for 5000 years.
