what an ace day - it was scorchio in our garden, y'know, like a proper summers day!

while the kids filled up the radio flyer with water and pretended it was a portable swimming pool all day - I finally managed to lead up my stained glass panel that's going above our door (well, one of them). it was very tricky and I have sore hands, but it's looking not too bad...a bit wonky here and there. so, next I need to solder the damn thing - and I'll find out whether my granda's old soldering iron is any use. I hope it is - mostly because I like the thought of it being his.

oh, and our cherry tree is bearing heaps of fruit despite dougal doing his best to break and shred it. it looks so lovely with all it's bright red cherries - such a pity they taste so crap! daisy's impressed by the look of them anyway...
