The result of our labour over 3 days

In our garden is a large eucalypt tree which was almost killed off during last winter. We had it lopped by a tree feller (no, there was only one of them), and what was left I took down by a further 8 feet.

After sawing up the branches we now have a log pile for the burner for those nice, but cool, evenings.

It looks like a fair bit but there's almost as much behind, which is where we put the greener bits of branch so it has time to dry out.

Hopefully, the tree will shoot again from further down the trunk.
