rocks

this is my collection of rocks (some of them) that lives on my desk. my grandfather is a geologist, my father is a round-hound; it's in my genes to be intrigued by rocks, minerals, and the like. Every rock is from somewhere I've been. Colorado, Alaska, Texas, Sweden, Arizona, Canada, Arkansas, New Mexico. On a hike, on a bike, off a trail, in a riverbed, on the beach... their presence on desk is a reminder of good times.

I am sharing this tonight, as we head out for Colorado tomorrow. Excited is an understatement. I am feeling better and am ready for a bit of adventure before school once more becomes the dominant force over my schedule.
