Bobbing Along....

....up to Oeschinensee (beautiful alpine lake) at the foot of Mount Blumlisalp for some freezing cold lake swimming (part of the KIS Challenge); a spot of lunch and then a hot hike down. The sun is scorchio again today and we've got a few lobsters in the troop from yesterday.

On arrival at Oeschinensee, we played on the Rodelbahn (a dry slope toboggan run). It was an sbsolute hit with the Scouts and our budget of two runs per person soon got blown with five runs each. Oops.

Later, the heavens opened just as we lit our end of camp BBQ, so we had to cook in the kitchen instead. However, we had a nice end of camp ceremony and the Scouts thoughtfully presented Colin with a signed book about Kandersteg as a leaving gift. Lump in throat moment for the leaders.
