Good bye dear friend
Only took a couple blip worth photos today. Lying on the grass after a MTB ride this tree was just nice to look at, well most trees are; this just happened to be the closest to me. I choose this because it was a simple clean image, a simple technical mistake was I had camera set f1.8, should have been a little higher to ensure everything was perfectly in focus.... more on that later. Anyway loaded it and as I do sometimes just play with a couple filters in Aperture and the red b&w filter looked awesome I almost blipped that instead, but the bark and blue was just too colourful.... I like colour particularly colours that contrast.
Looked at me in LARGE
Anyway haven't explained my title yet. No the tree is still good, no a human friend has not passed away. This MTB trip was about riding and I had a couple of photo ideas of this track as it winds through some grassy hills, thought I'd be lucky and get a few MTB'ers climbing this grassy winding track...well I was right plenty of opportunities. HOWEVER on the way to this spot, I broke my first piece of camera equipment.....my 50mm prime lens. So sad to see it go its last image capture wasn't speculator but stuff happens! So I've learnt two things today; When travelling always carry a second lens.
Hence my limited photo choices, while I carry the iPhone everywhere, just didn't feel like using it today in honour of my old 50mm lens I had to blip one of its last captures.
