Iconic Scottish flower
This was growing on the machair behind Achmelvich beach. While the beach is lovely, as promised (although actually it is the second bay a little further away from the campsite (eyesore) which has the real wow factor), I thought I would continue practising photographing close-ups in a manner which was not possible with the Streak. I'm also taking an interest in the flora and natural environment as a result of reading a book called Peatbogs, Plague and Potatoes, bought in the lovely independent bookstore in Ullapool.
Anyway, must stop rambling on and post this, so that we can go and eat a famous Lochinver pie.
