...what to think about this curious piece of history.
It was produced by the RAF Benevolent Fund after World War II. Cast into it are impressions of Churchill, Stalin and Roosevelt.
"Cast with metal from German aircraft shot down over Britain". But what about the poor mothers' sons whose bodies were pulled out of those same bits of metal?
For the record, World War II deaths, world wide, military and civilian, are very difficult to estimate. The best guess is between 62,171,400 and 78,511,500.
