At the green you have players in every direction so see only the backs of some.
On the fairway you cant really get that close and you also need to keep out of the way for the players concentration and also for safety.
The tees are generally OK, as you know exactly where they will stand and what they will do next. As long as you remember to ask if anyone is playing left handed.

Today, with the very last team to play I tried something a bit different and was delighted with the result.

From directly behind there is much less chance of getting their face in shot but I think it is more than made up for with great 'ball in flight' shots like this.
