At the dacha

Alla gazes out at her garden, filled with strawberries and raspberries ready to pick. Russians have dachas - wooden summer-houses outside of the city where they spend their weekends. We were lucky enough to be invited out to this one for a friend's birthday; a wonderful evening in the countryside, followed by a fresh morning with the first cool breezes I've felt for a month.
