Are you sure it's not a blueberry?
Yes, Mr Sausage Chops, it's definitely a grape.
Hmm, he's not sure.
He's actually not very well (we've even missed a classmate's birthday party today!) and I guess his taste buds are playing up.
It's just a cold and cough, but he's not very happy about it (neither am I) and he has a bit of an upset tummy that sort of comes on when he 'over does it' He came home from Tesco in the pushchair with no.2 son (delightedly) walking. Of course, no.2 son made a bid for freedom, near a road and some quick 'Mother Maths' weighs up more harm can come to him from oncoming collision than from 4 year old rolling somewhere. I abandon pushchair, lurch for no.2 and..... 'smash' the whole pushchair, inc. shopping on the handles and no.1 son, tip up, so all I can see is no.1 son's feet and all I can hear is wailing (and cracking eggs). Eggsellent (sorry!)
The humorous aspect to this is the final confirmation that no.2 son is a better counter balance to the shopping and is now, officially, heavier than no.1 son. Topically, this revelation comes after Friday's Clarks visit where no.2 son now also has bigger feet than no.1 son (marginally: 9H to his 9G!) But what's 23 months when you're 2 and a half.... err.... anyway?)
So, once he was 'righted' and a better grip was applied to no.2 son, we just about made it home, after every bump in the pavement was whimpered over and every increase in speed criticised. That was when I made the birthday party call. It's one thing to cough and sneeze over everyone, but quite another to have vomit as a certainty in your mind when you leave a child to bounce up and down and consume sugar for 2 and half hours!
It is a shame for him though and the Birthday girl is a really sweet girl :-(
Anyway. Rest of the day?? Just a bit full on really. Mr CleanSlate had the crazy 60 miles bike ride thing, so he was out of it from early til the boys' bedtime and we were cooped up what with the rain and the 'illness'!
Quite a lot of playing 'The Moomins'. This is the new Octonauts/Charlie and the Chocolate factory phase. No.2 son is now actually responding the the name, 'Moomin Troll'. Fabulous.
In all seriousness, the boys are kind of rubbing along together interacting a lot more, which is quite nice. Although I did catch no.1 son about to sink his teeth into an unsuspecting arm this afternoon and when caught [big eyed] he smiled sweetly and said, 'It's OK Mummy, he really likes it.' *takes deep breath*
What else? I know.... a serious question. Are mini milks unearthly smaller than they were in the 80s or am I just depressingly bigger?? You know, don't answer that :-)
BTW: bike ride did go well, all 6 of them got to Blackpool in under 6 hours :-)
There's probably more... but who can remember....
