Tyres

In between the showers I headed out on my road bike. Have been on the mountain bikes recently so it was completely different hitting the roads. It felt really good, admittedly with the wind at my back as I headed south and uphill towards Usan but them I hit a stretch of road recently resurfaced with loose stone. The minute I hit it I punctured and of course I had forgotten that I had taken my saddle bag off when the bike was in for a service. So it was a short cycle - some 7 miles or so shock though enjoyable was very disappointing. Thankfully C came to my rescue in the Beast.

All this pales into insignificance compared to the carnage I saw today in the Tour de France. Some scary crashes at speeds I can only dream of. The one hour programme is always compulsive viewing, even more so this year with do many crashes and high drama - catch it if you can.
