Check out my BACK BLIPS for the past week or so (I just got back from Boston)

I dug out my great grandfather's compass today - I have a bit of a thing for keepsakes and antiques.

He was in the trenches in WW1 and used this to navigate his way around them as he was in charge of the horses and was required to move around a lot (this being the main reason he was never killed.) He needed this to find his way around as he had very little real sense of where he was going due to the nature of the trenches.

Cool thing is it still actually works :D
