Needed a bit of calm this evening at the end of a somewhat fraught week - 250miles is a long distance to be away from your Mum when she's having surgery, albeit relatively routine.
One more day at work, then taking over from my brother Mum-sitting; family here will have to fend for themselves for the week.

Stephen comes in and sits on my knee -'she'll be fine Mum and so will we'
