Butterfly

This butterfly design is from the cushion that my mum used constantly in the last couple of months until she lost her long battle against cancer on Friday. I arrived to join my dad this evening and wanted to find something related to Mum that wasn't too stark an image.

Given that when I left home this morning, two of the caterpillars at home (blipped 19th June) had transformed into butterflies, I thought that this image gave me an item for my journal as a memory of the latter part of my mum's life, at a time when we have witnessed the marvel of nature to create new life.
