quite an evening

First early finish and the weather was glorious but the surf was blown out here so I decided to head up the coast in search of a sheltered spot. I was thinking Buckie or Hopeman since they both can be sheltered during big north easterly swells.
Success, Hopeman was working well and the setting was beautiful with the sun setting over the firth.
Away to park the car, then BOOOOOOOOOOM! my gear linkage goes (been aware of something clunking recently, but when busy at work, and no free time, ignorance prevails and you hope to ride it out until you get the chance to check it out)
Had quite the audience, mostly some old sea dogs enjoying the rare evening down the pier.
Phoned father who fortunately lives only 4 or so miles away with the 4x4. Success!
A good evening spent in his company and a great sleep, lets hope the car got some rest cos she'll be going under the spanner soon.
