Mouldy ducks

Yesterday we noticed a small leak in one of our basement's closet. Upon moving stuff , this mama duck and her ducklings appeared . Mould is no funny matter and tonight we have to deal with the problem . I did a research and they said we can clean it up with mild detergent or just cut it out if the area is too big. The mama duck is only about 3 inches high so I may try the detergent ( equipped with a mask and rubber gloves ). If it doesn't work then off comes part of the gyproc.
