Brian's Bits

Let's do the Time-warp again.

Silloth today and down nearer Allonby for a bit of a paddle. The place has hardly changed in several decades since we used to bike out as "kids", me keeping Fred company on the ride then getting lost while he courted Norma H. Except, maybe, at least one pub has shut and the odd shop here and there.
ONE thing which has changed is a certain lack of geographical knowledge inasmuch as it is now deemed necessary to tell us that it is "on Solway," ...DUH?!? Like we didn't know? That's in the same league as "Appleby-in-Westmorland, Cumbria."

However, to the blip. Avast there (Sorry) A vast number of "snaps"were taken and subsequently discarded. The armies were in town. Both the modern one and Oliver Cromwell's lot doing a spot of re-enactment.

Plenty of shots of them, but I think the prize had to go to these two sneaking time out for more modern refreshments.
