Shooting Bubbles
Steve and I went up to Scotland this weekend and took train rather than Sleazyjet this time.
We are on the fence as to whether we would do it again that way although am wondering if it might not be the best option for New Year - assuming we plan way in advance.
Last night was a night out to celebrate my sister's 30th and although I say night out we booked a table for 5pm since she is heavily pregnant therefore not exactly in the party mood plus earlier means Aidan is in better form as it can all get exciting for him.
Today my sister and her husband painted their bedroom while my mum, Steve and I took Aidan to Greenock to see some tall ships. It was quite good fun and I am very glad we went in the morning as it was getting manic by the time we left. I think Aidan had fun and Steve bought him this gun which when you pulled the trigger unleashed a frenzy of bubbles!
It takes an amazing amount of energy to watch a small child as you just can't take your attention away for a second. I love spending time with my nephew and am very excited about meeting my niece (due in Aug). I have the utmost respect and admiration for those I know with children - it's not an easy job!
For Steve and I though, we are very happy being childless - we are exhausted after today and we have enough on our hands with Casper who seemed very happy to see us (or was that it cause we had fish on our plate at dinner time.....hmmmmmm)
The pic above is Aidan playing with his bubbles. He is such a joy to spend time with and I think he really enjoyed the day!
