Pacific sunrise at 39,000 ft

Normally we see the sunrise right off the coast from Los Angeles. Last night we left almost three hours late so we were still in the middle of the Pacific, with over a 1000 miles to the coast, when the sun started popping it's head out. I was hoping for a much more spectacular photograph but this is what mother nature gave me.
