Day 26 - La Puebla

We've decided to return to Spain, this time to La Rioja. Today was spent driving most of the way there, but stopping at a village called La Puebla for an overnighter. It was the only place that we saw signposted as having a hotel, and what a wee beauty it was. I think we were the only guests and we had to phone the proprietor to get in. The blip shows furnishings on our floor. The building is two hundred years old and has been beautifully converted.

The village itself seemed deserted but in good Spanish style everyone materialised in the evening to hang out and shout at each other. In a good-natured kind of way, of course.
