A moose wedding

Made a wedding cake this past weekend for a friend's daughter's wedding. She wanted a 'funfetti' (white cake, sprinkles mixed in for those of you who have no experience with funfetti cake) cake with gerber daisies and marigolds. I added forget-me-nots and bachelor buttons to balance the colors.

After the outdoor ceremony (featuring moose antlers behind the wedding arch--are you catching a theme?!) I watched the little nieces going around and picking up the flower petals that the flower girl had scattered down the aisle. As soon as they had most of them picked up, they sat in the grass divvying up the bounty. It's very interesting how weddings mean different things to different age groups.
