Memories.
A shot of Clematis Montana which I planted about three years ago at he base of an apple tree. This host tree was started into life from a seed about 17 years ago by our eldest grandaughter, Kirsty as a school project. It grew on in a wee pot and was taken home to thier house in Haddington. It went with them when they moved to Maryburgh not far from Inverness and we were able to watch its slow growth. In 2004 they decided to emigrate to Perth, WA. and the day before they left Kirsty presented this carefully tended plant, still in a pot and asked me to take care of it. Soon after they left I cut out a section in the back lawn and planted it. Like Topsy, it grew and is now about 12' high. This year we have had 2 blooms on the Clem with more to come and I know that our Australian family will view my blip, so heres to you Kirsty. May you flourish like your tree.
