Evening Light

We have been so lucky with the weather this weekend. When the heavens opened on Friday evening we had already set up our marquee and were snug and dry. Yesterday the sun shone and today the weather was ok.

We had a very nice day and after we packed our things up for the end of the show and had our evening meal we went for a walk along the canal again. Last night we got a good view of a heron, but tonight there were no herons, no swans, not even a duck.

Thank goodness we were still in time to catch the sunset!

Since 1992 there have been plans to reopen this part of the Lancaster Canal, the section between Kendal and Tewitfield.I'm a great fan of narrowboats and would love to see this happen.
