Fireworks

Despite the lateness of the hour I decided to take the children to see the fireworks display at the tall ships. Considering it was a last minute plan it all came together really well, we drove down to Gourock station, parked the car, got the train (kids went free), arrived at Bogston in the rain so went to Marisol's for a cuppa, rain stopped, headed up an embankment at the end of M's road for an excellent view of the extravaganza, rushed back to the station to step on a train which was going straight to Gourock with no stops, jumped in the car at the station and got home by ten past 11! All in all was a great success and far less stressful or tiring than I imagined it would be. Looking forward to tomorrow's parade of sail, just need to see what the weather's doing before I decide whether to watch it from down on the front or make do with the living room window or front stairs .... Decisions, decisions ....
