No Fishing
Working in London today. I had a quick lunchtime stroll around the riverfront at Rotherhithe and round to the man-made Stave Hill which gives a great view across to Canary Wharf and back to St Paul's and Tower Bridge. On the way I came across a tiny nature reserve at the Lavendar Pond Pumphouse. The pumphouse was built in the 1930s by the London Port Authority to regulate water levels in the docks.
According to one sign there are no fish in the ponds so I'm not sure why there were two herons hanging around or why the no fishing sign was necessary. Not a great photo but it amused me.
