Water Water everywhere...
and not a drop to drink. Days like this one always make me think of the Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner. P and I had sailed earlier in the day but the afternoon was as predicted. No wind on the Sunshine Coast. It doesn't happen very often that the Salish Sea is this flat. I was taken by the endless sea. There was a time when the heat and haze combined to obscure the horizon. Sea and sky did appear as one. Only the odd ripple from a bird or very occasional passing boat defined one from the other.
Played with which of many images to upload. In the end loved the minimalism of this one with a shiny piece of the boat's railing and a fluttering bit of yellow on the life line.
The light on/off/from the water (reflected ambient and all variations) gives me endless images to try to capture. It is a source of constant intrigue, giving character and new possibilities to the place we are in at that moment.
