Red Arrow Surprise
I love it when things just happen.
I thought I'd drive through Greenock this morning on the way to East Kilbride (very long way round) as I'd promised Thom I'd take him to see the Tall Ships when they were here but hadn't gotten round to it yet. I thought we'd be able to see them from the car, but as we were driving through fairly early I spotted there was loads of spaces in the side streets. So we parked and got to the Esplanade just in time to hear that the Red Arrow display was in half an hour and then the Tall Ships would come. What more could you ask of a morning.
We got a spot right at the edge of the Clyde and waited for the Red Arrows to come. They arrived whooshing right over our heads and then did a fantastic half hour display. My son now wants to be a Red Arrow pilot when he's bigger, in-between being a tennis player and an astronaut.
We then watched the ships trundle by, and just as we left Thom saw one with all the crew standing on the rigging which made his day.
Definitely a much better way to spend a day than trying to haggle a deal for a car with ropey car salesmen.
