Towers above

Went to Canary Wharf today but took a slightly different route to my usual one of Jubilee line. There was a signal problem so the line was suspended - so instead of one line all the way from Baker Street, I had to go a few stops to Oxford Circus, change to Central Line, get off at Bank & get on the Docklands Light Railway instead.

It was a bit busy as there were a lot of people doing the same thing - but I even managed to get a seat so it wasn't too bad. The beauty of DLR is that most of it is above ground so you get some interesting views as you approach Canary Wharf - the train was a bit too packed to take photos from the train though.

So I thought I'd walk to where I was heading above ground instead of going through the shopping centre. Only had time to take a few snaps but this gives some of the feeling of being overshadowed by the tower blocks.

Had some good meetings - much better day than I feared it might be, and then managed to catch the 4.30pm train home, which was a bonus.
