city sea urchins, butt...

...did you know that one single cigarette butt can contaminate eight whole litres of water?

on the brighter side, while having a wander after work around newhaven harbour, the last thing i had expected to see amidst the muddy seabed were these beautiful sea urchins. i dangled off the harbour wall taking lots of wobbly shots on a zoom lens while the sun shone down. a lovely sunny evening, and even sunnier because M has arrived too. although no thanks to the poor cow that ended up under a train this evening and brought his train to a standstill for a couple of hours. poor moo.

normally when i walk around the harbour the water level is pretty high, so it was intriguing to unexpectedly spot these muddy treasures this evening.

ps. i'm also finding blipping has similar tendencies to buses - sometimes there aren't any at all, and then they come all at once. and then you have to choose just one blip! but then i like that challenge too...
