day seven

last day today :-( got another big estate to figure out first :-) welcome to drumlanrig.

we didn't go into the house, but the gardens were pretty nifty - formal beds around the house (these are in the back, to one side is a rose garden and the other is topiary; the last side is the seriously grand entrance). then there is the obligatory woodland walks, and rhodedendron walks and you feel like your legs can't carry you any further... so it's probly as well that we're heading home.

after all the sunshine, it rained pretty much constantly all the way up to edinburgh, and then down on to norhumberland after they dropped me off. still, at least it waited til we were done :-)
