Think about your audience

I have had some really interesting chats over the last few days about how I progress my photography and the thing I need to really think about is how I engage an audience. It came home to me as I was travelling on the train back from Manchester, The only person that needs to know where the emergency exit is someone sat inside a train so why does the sign tell people outside the train where the emergency exit is?
