A cocker in the Cocker.

This pretty and quiet river is the Cocker, which is November 2009 ran down Cockermouth main street at a hight of eight feet. Cockermouth is not on the coast, it is where the Cocker runs into the Derwent. Both rivers where so full, and the Derwent running so fast, that the Cocker could not join it. The main street is now looking even more lovely than it did before as many of the Georgian shop fronts have been restored.
