'Houses in our Street' no.9 'The Mongrel'

This is an 18th century house but for some reason in the 19th century the owners gave it completely new front together with a very fancy double staircase to the front door. You can clearly see that the original 18th century building is red brick whereas the 19th century addition is a different colour. I have no idea why this was done.
