Gloomy Day Projects

Surprise surprise but our Oregon Summer has taken a turn for the BLAH! Woke up this morning to rain and lots of gloom so the boys and I headed out to the craft store to pick up some small crafts to keep them busy on days like today. Jack picked out some art projects while Carter wanted this "build it yourself" wooden race car. For $1 I couldn't exactly say "no". I was quite impressed by Carters excitement over this and even more impressed that he painted the entire thing on his own along with building it. He followed the instructions exactly and he glued each piece and correctly aligned them where they belonged. His obsession with Lego's clearly helped him to be an instant pro at building this car.

While the boys worked on their art projects which kept them suprisingly quiet, I made homemade banana cupcakes. YUM!

The rain stopped eventually but the clouds never really went away. Looks like the next couple days will be like this but next week (fingers crossed) the weather looks to improve.
