Cathedral- an architectural monument of the 14th century. Immanuel Kant was buried in a "professor's tomb" of the Council in 1804 and became the last person buried in it.

The Cathedral is one of the few Gothic structures in Russia.

Currently, service in the cathedral are not carried out, the building used to house museum exhibits and concerts.
