Peace and Tranquillity

Headed up to the Hector MacDonald Monument today. Always driven past it up on the hill on the way to work and thought it required investigating!

Before heading there I thought I'd just get a good shot of the monument itself but found myself drawn to all the gravestones. Reading them trying to get a sense of who the person was. It really was a very peaceful place, as you'd expect, and in beautiful surroundings overlooking the town and the Beauly Firth.
